I always thought "Someone like me can't make spiritual art. You have to have your sh't together for that." I feel too much. I think too much. Sometimes drink too much. I have anger issues and often roar when I should whisper and whisper when I should roar. Not to mention the way I do spirituality is...different. No soft pastels here! My spirituality has grit and edge, the "I have BEEN THROUGH IT" kind. I argue with the universe and question spiritual "truths" until there is nothing left but the truth, and then I question that! Oh, I can be gentle and soft and namaste with the best of them, but even that has a bit of oomph to it, which has made me a spiritual outcast in a lot of ways. But then I thought, "I can't be the only wounded weirdo who really wants to get their sh't together, but often thinks they're beyond hope...so maybe I am the perfect person to be doing this!"
